The licence in five lines
- With a purchased design you may build, change and extend websites, social posts and slides, for yourself or for clients.
- Unlimited websites with a purchased design, your own and client projects. All-Access: the same for every design.
- Your client gets the finished project with all rights it needs and may keep running it without you.
- The licence is perpetual and verifiable offline, with no subscription.
- Not allowed: passing on or selling the designs themselves, also not as a template, kit or training dataset.
This summary helps you understand. The full terms below apply.
1 Definitions
Design: a gallery design with all its files (DESIGN.md, tokens, pages, social and slide templates, check report). End product: one website plus social and presentation material for the same brand. Project: an end product you register by name when retrieving. End client: the person or company you build an end product for.
2 Rights granted
You receive a non-exclusive right, unlimited in territory and time, to copy, edit and adapt the design for your projects, make it publicly available (put the website online) and use it in social media and presentations, including in commercial projects and when your client pays you for them.
3 Scope
Every licence covers any number of end products for yourself and your clients, perpetual, including further development from the delivered building blocks. There are no licence tiers; the only limit is in section 5 (no resale, no redistribution as a template).
Single design: covers the purchased design. All-Access: covers every design whose release date is no later than 12 months after the purchase date (both dates are in the licence key and the design.json and can be checked without our server).
All licences are perpetual and paid once. Registered projects stay licensed permanently.
4 Handing over to end clients
You may hand the end product over to your end client with all necessary rights. They may operate it, change it and have others maintain it, even if you cancel or can no longer be reached.
5 Not allowed
Passing on or selling the designs as a template, theme, kit or stock, also in modified form; adding them to other galleries, marketplaces, public skill or prompt collections; building them into site-builder, template or generator products; using the packages as a training dataset or as example material for tools you distribute; registering the design as a whole as a trademark.
6 Use with AI assistants
Allowed and intended: you may use the packages with AI coding assistants to build your licensed end product.
7 Third-party components
Fonts, images and open-source code are under their own licences, listed in each package's LICENSE.md. Their terms take precedence.
8 End of the licence
The licence ends on withdrawal, refund (including the guarantee), chargeback and serious breach of these terms, never otherwise. When it ends you may no longer use the affected designs in new or existing projects; end products already handed over to end clients are not affected, except in case of chargeback or breach.
9 Licence ID and key
The licence ID is included in the package files. Do not share the licence key and never put it into a repository or package; use an environment variable. We may block a shared key.
10 Succession
The licence passes to a legal successor (for example on sale or conversion of a company), on the buyer's and on the seller's side.
11 Warranty of title, liability
We warrant that we are entitled to grant these rights. Otherwise the liability clause of the terms of sale applies.
12 Open-source part
The skill and tool of Kiekkist Free are under their own open-source licence. It does not apply to the paid designs.
